Designed for Professionals with experienced consumers in mind.
Our igniters are trusted by both professionals and consumers for safely lighting various types of fuses and fireworks. Each wire end is pre-slit for easy separation, ensuring a smooth and efficient setup process.
The Only ATF Non-Regulated Igniter on the Market
We’re proud to offer the only ATF non-regulated igniter available. Following the Safety Explosives Act of 2003, which introduced regulatory requirements for all igniters, we conducted extensive testing and collaborated directly with the ATF to develop a compliant, non-regulated solution tailored specifically for consumer fireworks. As per our patent and agreement with the ATF, igniters for most consumer use are exclusively available with blue and white lead wires.
Firewire Initiators are a flame producing ignition devices that are capable of causing fire, serious injury, or death if misused.
If you have not received formal training, read proper handling guidelines, or taken the time to educate yourself on pyrotechnic safety, do not buy or use this product. This is not a toy. Do not pretend to be a pyrotechnician.
Never handle or install indoors (garage, basement, or any enclosed area)
Install only at the final shoot site — not at home or in transit
DO NOT pre-wire — Firewire is sensitive to impact, friction, and static
Can ignite if dropped, with impact, pinched, pulled, or exposed to flame or static
Do not wear synthetic clothing (nylon, fleece, polyester)
Wear 100% cotton, ground yourself before handling
Avoid static-generating surfaces (tarps, rubber mats, plastic tables)
No drinking before or during setup. If this even crosses your mind, you should not be using Firewire.
Do not insert igniters directly into powder chambers or cakes
Use fuse tubes or manufacturer-exposed fuse points only
Modifying fuse paths violates safety regulations (PHMSA) and increases the risk of misfires, injury, or death
Respect the product. Respect the risks. Use responsibly — or don’t use it at all.
Shipping Requirements and Options
Igniters must ship in proper Packing Group II cartons, clearly marked with an EX#, UN0454, and 1.4S placards.
USPS Ground Select Shipping:
For smaller orders (less than a case, 30 boxes), we offer a special USPS Ground Select shipping option, which eliminates the $60 hazmat fee associated with FedEx. However, this service may take up to 10 business days to arrive, does not include insurance, and tracking updates may not always be consistent. Due to permit restrictions, USPS shipments are not eligible for returns. Please verify all details before placing your order, especially if you’re on a tight timeline.
Need Faster Delivery?
For time-sensitive orders, select "Additional Shipping Cost" at checkout to upgrade to FedEx shipping. This option includes the hazmat fee and requires an adult signature upon delivery. Depending on your location relative to New Jersey, delivery typically takes 1-5 business days.
